The historic, walled town of LAGOS, was once the capital of the Algarve. It has a wide coice of shops, bars and restaurants and a good night clubs. There is fascinating daily fish market and a weekly touristic market in high season, the town has a cosmopolitan atmosphere with paved pedestrian areas and wide avenues. There is a fabulous marina, filled with opulent yachts with some excellent bars and restaurants overlooking the water. Dolphin watching trips are also available from the marina. The GOLDEN sands of Meia Praia beach stretch right around the bay of Lagos and the small, sandy coves and grottoes around Ponta da Piedade and Camilo Beach provide secluded and sheltered sunbathing. There are superb sport facilities at or near Lagos including scuba diving, dive instruction, water-skiing,windsurfing, surf,microlite and golf. We can also arrange horse riding and lessons at a local estate
The Marina Lagos was opened in 1994 and offers many recreational options such as deep sea fishing, sea trips and a wide range of restaurants and bars.
Forte Ponta da Bandeira
The "Forte Ponta da Bandeira" is one of the finest and best preserved examples of the century. XVII existing throughout the Algarve and is one of the symbols of the city.
The impressive rock formations can be traversed to reach the beaches "Students" and "Pinhão", small beaches located between colorful cliffs and bathed in calm, clear waters. The beaches "Dona Ana" and " Camilo"sheltered between cliffs, are considered two of the best and most beautiful beaches.
