2. Scope

These Terms and Conditions define the rules applicable to reservations, stays, and use of the facilities at Quinta dos Caracois.

 

3. Reservations

A reservation is considered confirmed upon payment of a deposit corresponding to 20% of the total stay amount.

Quinta dos Caracois reserves the right to cancel reservations that are not confirmed within the indicated timeframes.

 

4. Payments

Payments may be made using the following methods:

• Credit card (except American Express)
• Bank transfer
• Cash

The remaining balance must be paid as indicated during the booking process.

 

5. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the arrival date incur no penalty.
• Cancellations or modifications made less than 14 days before arrival will result in a charge equivalent to the first night.
• In case of no-show, the first night will also be charged.

 

6. Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in: from 3:00 PM
• Check-out: until 12:00 PM

Requests outside these hours are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

 

7. Use of Accommodation

• The accommodation is intended exclusively for tourist purposes.
• Only the number of guests specified in the reservation is allowed to occupy the unit.

 

8. Children

Children are allowed, provided that the total number of guests does not exceed the maximum capacity of the reserved unit.

 

9. Pets

Pets are not allowed.

 

10. House Rules

• Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation units.
• Parties, events, or activities that may disturb other guests are not allowed.
• Guests are expected to respect good conduct and use the property responsibly.

 

11. Damages

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay.

Quinta dos Caracois reserves the right to charge for repair or replacement costs, even after check-out, if no immediate agreement is reached.

 

12. Cleaning

Cleaning services are included in the price of the stay, under the conditions defined for each unit.

 

13. Liability

Quinta dos Caracois shall not be held responsible for:

• Loss, theft, or damage to guests’ personal belongings
• Accidents occurring during the stay, except where legally attributable

The activity is covered by mandatory civil liability insurance, in accordance with applicable legislation.

 

14. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.

 

15. Force Majeure

Quinta dos Caracois shall not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or external service failures.

 

16. Amendments

Quinta dos Caracois reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on the website.

 

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction.
